Your blood donation may be even more special than you realize

A single donation from you can help one or more patients. This is possible because whole blood is made up of several useful components. These components perform special functions in body. The various blood components are Platelets, Plasma and selected Plasma Proteins. Each of these components can be separated from your donated volume of blood and transfused into a specific patient requiring that particular component. Thus, many can benefit from one unit of blood.

Blood is needed every minute

  • To replace blood lost because of accidents or diseases.
  • For major & minor surgeries including open heart surgeries, transplants etc.
  • For patients suffering from Anemia.
  • During child birth for the mother.
  • For exchange transfusion for new born infants.
  • For children suffering from ailments like Thalassaemia, Hemophilia.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to work as a bridge between the needy person and a volunteer donor, to save someone’s life. Volunteers will register themselves in our online donors repository, so that people could search the apropriate donor nearest to them. Mainly this online donors repository may be used in the hospitals of all the cities of Pakistan.

VUsolutions Blood Donors Bank (VBDB) will not be responsible for any of unexpected consequences in blood-transfer from any volunteer donor to any other person or other donor. So you are requested to go through all common types of tests and blood screenings before the transfer of blood.

VBDB is also not be responsible for given information regarding donors such as name, address and other contents. VBDB does not evaluate or guarantee the accuracy or success of any information provided by donors to us. The site and the services provided by VBDB are "as is" with no assurance.

There was a great process building the site user friendly and much easier. If you encounter any problem regarding scripting, Database, dead links etc, you can email us at We would like to have comments and suggestion on your this effort.
